Organic botanicals comply with standards for commercial organic farming, which includes using no synthetic pesticides or herbicides, or hormones on the crops. Along with this, organic farming preserves ecological systems and diversity.

Wild crafted or wild harvested botanicals are not farmed or sprayed with any kind of pesticide. They are wild, native and organic by their own nature and retain the positive attributes of plants grown in their normal habitat.

They are harvested sustainably via the following guidelines:

• Endangered species may not be harvested.
• Immature plants may not be harvested.
• More than 15% of a particular plant in an area may not be harvested.
• Surrounding plants and/or environment may not be damaged.
• Compromised or polluted plants may not be harvested.
• Seeds must be planted to replace whole plants that are harvested.

The Omega Complex Facial Oil contains macadamia and mongongo nut oils. The Maia Nail + Cuticle Oil contains mongongo nut oil. The Gaia Body Nutri-Scrub contains shea butter, which typically does not irritate people with nut allergies, but we recommend consulting your physician first if you have a nut allergy.

No, our products are 100% soy free.

None of our products contain gluten or gluten-derived ingredients. However we do use oats in our Gaia Body Nutri-Scrub and Epione Therapeutic Bath Soak, although oats are gluten free they may be processed in a facility that also processes gluten containing ingredients. We mention this for your safety.

We are committed to using only truly natural, non-toxic ingredients and avoiding synthetic preservatives. We utilise a natural ECOCERT approved preservative system in our Gaia Body Nutri-Scrub. Additionally we incorporate natural Vitamin E (Tocopherol), in all of our formulations for its antioxidant properties.

All of our products are completely natural, and we never use synthetic preservatives. Our natural preservation methods give our products a shelf life of typically 9-12 months when unopened and are tested to ensure safety and purity. We recommend use within 6 months for optimal efficacy. To maintain efficacy for the maximum timespan, keep products out of direct sunlight, upright; in a cool, dry, and dark place.
